As with many things in Newman’s recent history and as part of his advisory role to the Company Billy F
Gibbons played a big part in bringing Newman Guitars together with Cream T Custom Shop.

Newman had been installing Cream T Pickups for some time in its USA builds and CEO Jeff Smith had
seen what Cream T was doing with its own guitars. Billy advised Jeff to approach Cream T with a view to
using their manufacturing capability on the UK, so that Newman could increase it’s output but still retain
its high standards.

And so this range of UK “Team Built” guitars was born.
